A militia from another state may not enter the state to enforce state or federal laws without the written authorization of the governor or a federal call to service pursuant to RCW 38.08.010. The governor may withdraw a previously granted authorization at any time, including any compact or agreement pursuant to RCW 38.08.100. Immediately after receiving written notice of withdrawal or denial of entry, the militia must cease its activities and leave the state.
This act is necessary for the immediate preservation of the public peace, health, or safety, or support of the state government and its existing public institutions, and takes effect immediately.
